Fall Dressage Shows Usher In Riding Season In Sandhills

We had a great turnout at our last two shows. Sept 22 was a record turnout with over 60 rides and October 4 ended up with over 50 rides. The weather was great and everyone made it in spite of the bicycle portion of the Pinehurst Triathlon running in from of your farm.

Perfect weather marked the first official fall dressage schooling show hosted at Antares Dressage.  Saturday's NCDCTA recognized show was teaming with local riders who brought young horses to be schooled, as well as young dressage riders making their horse show debuts.  The calm relaxing atmosphere, noted by many competitors, helped to make the show the perfect place for  young horses and young riders to start their show careers.

Camilla's Vance's young gelding Wellington, also made his show debut at training level, finishing second with a score 68.695% under rider Vicki Kelley.

Antares Dressage will be offering its first competition clinic on October 18th with clinician Vicki Kelley.   Competition clinics are designed for riders seeking to improve dressage test riding skills.

Participants will ride a scored test as if in a show, will then will be coached on test improvements, and then will ride the same test again for a second score.
